Champion 800VA UPS Review
Build and Design: The Champion 800VA UPS is a compact tower mode UPS of 6kg which makes it less convenient to carry.
There are three output sockets in the back which ensures the usage of three different appliances at the same time. In the front there is the power button and three led indicators with audible alarms.
Type: This UPS is a line-interactive model which consists of a single bidirectional converter that connects the batteries to the load with Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR).
Capacity and Power: The UPS comes with a high capacity of 800VA (Volt-ampere).With a power input of 230 Volts; it can deliver an output voltage at 230 Volts with auto stabilized output voltage.
Battery Backup: This has a single unit 12V/9Ah rechargeable and replaceable battery which provides a backup of 15 minutes with full load and 25 minutes of half load.
The recharging time is of 5-8 hours after complete discharge. The battery also has quick charge mode which makes it more convenient and useful.
Warranty: This UPS comes with a warranty of 1year on the battery and 2years on the UPS with 1st year on-site warranty and 2nd year carry-in warranty.
No physical damage and only manufacturing defects are covered in this warranty.
Additional features: This UPS comes with quick charging, UPS shutdown in case of overload and battery low alarm followed by shutdown which provides full safety from short-circuit, overload, unsafe voltage, etc. which are the additional features.
It has indicators with audible alarms for AC Normal, Backup, Low battery, Overload and Charging.

The Champion 800VA UPS is a good value for money UPS in a budget ranging from Rs. 2000 to 3000 but it has a decent capacity and output power. It also has many other attractive additional features like the quick charge and other safety features which makes it worth the price. One can consider this UPS keeping in mind the the little heavy weight yet the advantages of the gadget.
